Vintage Italian Ceramics Five Bowl Hand Painted Crudités, Relish Dish Vintage Italian ceramic hand painted five bowl crudités, relish dish. We are very pleased to be able to offer this vintage hand painted Italian ceramic relish tray. This relish tray is Italian stoneware, it's hand painted piece, consisting of five connected, scalloped bowls. In each of the bowls there is a beautiful hand painted rose. The piece is in glazed white over a buff stoneware body. There is trim line work in a reddish brown iron oxide, that accents the scalloped edge of each bowl, and the three legged handle. There are two low relief renderings of what appear to be onion bulbs, and their leafs, on the inside edge of the bowls. On the bottom this relish dish is marked, in black iron oxide, "1073 Italy". This piece is also stamped in the clay "Italy" This five lobed relish dish is approximately 12 inches in diameter, and 4 1/4 inches tall. This piece weighs 2 1/4 pounds. Condition- The overall condition of the relish dish is very good. It is in need of some cleaning, but the dish itself has no cracks, chips, or crazing. This is a wonderful, charming piece of pottery, perfect for a country kitchen setting.
